The House RV Caucus hosted its first quarterly reception on November 20, providing a platform for the RV Industry Association (RVIA) staff and Congressional staff to discuss the RV industry’s economic significance and policy priorities. The event, held on Capitol Hill, marked the caucus’s commitment to strengthening relationships with lawmakers and raising awareness about the sector.
According to a News and Insights report of RVIA on December 5, Representative Dina Titus (D-NV), Co-Chair of the House RV Caucus, attended the reception to express her support. Representative Rudy Yakym (R-IN), the caucus’s other Co-Chair, was unable to attend due to voting obligations, but his staff facilitated the event’s logistics.
The reception coincided with the RVIA’s annual fly-in, amplifying its significance as an engagement tool between industry stakeholders and policymakers.
With the RV industry preparing for the new Congress in 2025, these events are set to become vital platforms for communicating the sector’s significance and policy priorities to lawmakers.
For 50 years, RVIA has been a voice for the $140 billion RV industry. Representing over 500 manufacturers, component suppliers, and aftermarket providers, the association supports an industry responsible for producing 98% of all RVs manufactured in the United States and 60% of those made globally. With offices in Washington, D.C., and Elkhart, Indiana, the association has consistently advocated for its members, driving growth and innovation across the sector.
The RVIA’s mission also encompasses several objectives: advancing the RV market, promoting a favorable business environment, and ensuring a positive consumer experience. The association also conducts unannounced inspections of member manufacturing plants to verify compliance with industry-approved standards.
