Unhitched Management Assumes Operations of Orange Grove RV Park in Bakersfield, California

Unhitched Management, the hospitality and operations division of Unhitched RV, has assumed management of Orange Grove RV Park in Bakersfield, California, taking over day-to-day operations, guest services, and ongoing property improvements at the 242-site RV community effective immediately.

The transition places Unhitched Management in charge of one of Kern County’s established RV destinations located at 1452 E Brundage Lane, a property that includes full-hookup sites, dry campsites, storage sites, and overflow accommodations designed to serve both short-term and long-term RV guests.

The company said it will implement its hospitality-focused operational model across the park.

“Bakersfield has a strong and loyal RV community, and Orange Grove RV Park has been a cornerstone of that community for years,” said Robert Preston, chief executive officer of Unhitched RV.

“We are honored to be trusted with its future. Our team is already on the ground making improvements and building relationships with guests — because at Unhitched, people always come first. We can’t wait to show the Central Valley what the Unhitched experience looks and feels like,” Preston added.

Orange Grove RV Park features 242 total RV and storage sites, including 177 full-hookup sites with electric, water, and sewer connections, 14 dry campsites, 18 storage sites, 15 overflow water and electric sites, and 10 overflow electric-only sites.

The park is designed to accommodate rigs of all sizes and has historically positioned itself as a centrally located option for travelers in California’s Central Valley.

Amenities at the property include a resort-style swimming pool, laundry facilities, restroom and shower facilities, Wi-Fi access throughout the park, pull-through and back-in sites, pet-friendly policies, on-site management, and 24-hour security.

The company said these features have contributed to the park’s long-standing appeal among both transient travelers and extended-stay guests.

Under Unhitched Management’s oversight, immediate operational priorities include improvements to curb appeal, common areas, and guest communications.

The company also outlined a longer-term plan targeting upgraded amenities, enhanced landscaping, and expanded community programming as part of its broader property management strategy.

Unhitched Management said it will apply operational systems developed across its portfolio of RV properties nationwide, including standardized approaches to maintenance, reservation management, and guest satisfaction.

The park’s location places it near the convergence of Highway 99 and Interstate 5, providing access to regional destinations including the Sierra Nevada foothills, Sequoia National Park, and coastal routes via Highway 178, as well as the greater Los Angeles metropolitan area. Its Brundage Lane address also offers proximity to local dining, retail, and Bakersfield’s country music heritage.
