As travelers increasingly look beyond the traditional summer vacation period, Blue Water Development is promoting shoulder season travel by highlighting destinations across its portfolio that offer beach access, outdoor recreation and lodging options during September and October.
The company, which operates 82 properties across 26 states, said the period following peak summer travel provides an opportunity for guests to experience warmer weather with fewer crowds.
Its portfolio includes hotels, RV resorts and camping destinations designed to extend outdoor vacations into what it describes as a “second summer.”
Among the featured destinations is the Commander Hotel in Ocean City, Maryland, a beachfront property located along the boardwalk with indoor and outdoor pools and direct access to the Atlantic Ocean.
In Delaware, Sun Outdoors Rehoboth Bay offers a waterfront RV resort with a private beach, swimming pool with a swim-up bar and water sports amenities.
In Florida, Comfort Inn & Suites Daytona is positioned directly on Daytona Beach and provides access to the area’s boardwalk, restaurants, shops and entertainment venues.
Blue Water Development also highlighted Outer Banks West/Currituck Sound KOA Holiday in North Carolina, a camping and glamping resort located northwest of the Outer Banks that features waterfront views and camping accommodations.
The company’s New Jersey offering includes Drifting Sands Oceanfront Hotel on Long Beach Island, where guests have direct beach access and are within walking distance of shopping, dining and nightlife.
In North Carolina, Crystal Coast Oceanfront Hotel in Atlantic Beach offers beachfront accommodations with oceanfront rooms overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, along with nearby retail and dining options.
Blue Water Development also spotlighted Chincoteague Bay, a waterfront resort in Virginia offering a range of accommodations, including RV sites, cottages and glamping tents. The property features amenities such as a swimming pool, marina and multi-purpose sports court, while providing access to nearby beaches and attractions on Chincoteague Island.
According to the company, the collection of properties is intended to appeal to travelers seeking beach vacations, camping experiences and outdoor recreation after the peak summer season.
