Forest River and Care Camps Foundation are bringing their Compete for Kids fundraising campaign to Canada, giving Canadian RV dealerships an opportunity to raise money for pediatric oncology camps during Childhood Cancer Awareness Month.
Compete for Kids Canada will begin Sept. 1, with dealerships across Canada invited to organize fundraising activities involving employees, customers and their local communities.
Proceeds will support Canadian pediatric oncology camps operated with support from Care Camps Foundation.
The Canadian campaign expands an initiative Care Camps launched in the United States in 2025 in partnership with the national RV Dealers Association.
Forest River and Care Camps are now extending the program to Canadian RV dealers.
“Our dealers are an important part of the communities they serve, and Compete for Kids Canada gives us an opportunity to come together around something bigger than our business,” said Jason Hershberger, general manager at Forest River.
“At Forest River, we believe in creating opportunities for people to get outside, connect and make meaningful memories together,” Hershberger added.
Forest River has an existing relationship with Care Camps and makes a donation with every Forest River product sold to support the foundation’s work in the United States and Canada.
Care Camps provides funding for medically supervised pediatric oncology camps for children with cancer and their families. The camps provide outdoor activities and opportunities for children to connect with others while spending time away from the routines of treatment and medical care.
Under Compete for Kids Canada, dealerships can select fundraising activities suited to their businesses and communities.
Potential efforts include employee fundraisers, customer events, dealership promotions and other local activities.
Participating dealerships will be recognized according to their fundraising totals through Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum and Diamond achievement levels.
“Canadian RV dealers are deeply connected to the communities they serve, which makes them an incredible part of this effort,” said Alison Stovold, Canadian manager for Care Camps Foundation.
“Compete for Kids Canada brings dealers, employees and customers together around a shared purpose: helping more children with cancer experience the friendship, adventure and sense of belonging that camp provides,” Stovold added.
Registration is open to Canadian RV dealerships, with fundraising scheduled to begin Sept. 1.
