Jellystone Park, in collaboration with Warner Bros. Discovery Global Themed Entertainment, has announced the opening of two new swimming pools at North Texas Jellystone Park in Burleson over Memorial Day weekend. One of these pools will be among the largest in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
Marcie Purviance, who oversees events, operations, and marketing for North Texas Jellystone Park, explained the uniqueness of the pool. “Our new outdoor pool is nearly twice as big as an Olympic-size pool, and it has a swim-up smoothie bar,” Purviance said.
According to a press release, this new outdoor pool measures 100 by 200 feet and covers nearly 20,000 square feet, significantly larger than the standard Olympic-size pool, which covers 13,454 square feet. The zero-entry pool is 3.5 feet deep and contains 450,000 gallons of water, offering ample space for visitors.
In addition to the expansive outdoor pool, the park introduced a new indoor swimming pool. This indoor facility measures 40 by 70 feet, covers 2,800 square feet, and holds approximately 84,000 gallons of water. Both pools represent the latest enhancements to the park’s extensive attractions.
The new pools complement North Texas Jellystone Park’s existing amenities, which have been significantly upgraded. The park has added new glamping accommodations, including furnished tipis, covered wagons, and grain bin cabins. Currently, the park boasts 461 sites, including 257 RV sites, 186 cabins and glamping units, and 18 primitive campsites.
Beyond the pools and accommodations, the park has also introduced a glow-in-the-dark miniature golf course and a 26,000-square-foot events and activities center known as “The Barn.” This center hosts live musical entertainment on weekends and DJ dance parties on Friday and Wednesday nights, enhancing the park’s vibrant atmosphere.
For larger gatherings, the North Texas Jellystone Park features a 20,000-square-foot building dedicated to weddings and corporate events.
Like other Jellystone Parks, the North Texas site is known for its family-friendly attractions, activities, and beloved Yogi Bear characters. The park hosts themed weekends ranging from Christmas in July to Halloween festivities, featuring costume contests, campsite decorating contests, and trick-or-treating.
With over 75 locations across the United States and Canada, Yogi Bear’s Jellystone Park Camp-Resorts feature fun attractions such as pools and water slides, nonstop family activities, up-close fun with Yogi Bear characters, and glamping-style accommodations.
