The RV Industry Association (RVIA) honored two leaders for their exceptional contributions to the RV sector during the RV Dealers Association Convention/Expo held at Paris Las Vegas from November 11 to 15. The awards, presented annually, recognize significant achievements in advancing RV standards, education, and government affairs.
April Klein-Carroll, vice president of Customer Support Services at Lippert Components, received the National Service Award for her dedication to improving customer experiences and advancing technician training.
According to RVIA Chair Kevin McArt, Klein-Carroll’s efforts exceeded expectations, highlighting her work with warranty repairs, parts processes, and technician recruitment. This recognition also underscored her volunteer contributions to various industry committees, including the RVTI Board of Directors and the RV Service Support Coalition.
In his remarks, McArt emphasized Klein-Carroll’s pivotal role in the success of the RV Technical Institute (RVTI), stating, “RVTI has been a resounding success, and that is due in no small part to April, who has been a guiding light since its inception.”
Don Clark, co-founder of Grand Design RV, was awarded the National Education Service Award for his leadership in promoting education and technician training within the RV industry. As a founding member of the RVTI, Clark played a central role in its establishment and development.
McArt highlighted Clark’s contributions, noting that Grand Design provided teaching aids and equipment to RVTI while Clark engaged in strategic planning, recruitment events, and promoting training and certification. “Don Clark of Grand Design has championed industry education programs and technician training throughout his storied career,” McArt said, as reported by News and Insights of RVIA.
