The RV Industry Association (RVIA) will host a members-only webinar on June 10 to review its Summer RV RoadSigns forecast and provide members with insights into the economic factors shaping the recreational vehicle market.
Scheduled for 2 p.m. Eastern, the webinar will feature Connor Lokar, senior forecaster at ITR Economics, who will explain how the latest forecast was developed and discuss the data and assumptions behind the projections.
According to the association, the RV RoadSigns forecast is a quarterly report that provides wholesale shipment projections for the RV industry while also examining broader macroeconomic trends that may influence market conditions.
During the 60-minute session, participants will receive an in-depth review of the new forecast, including the supporting evidence used in its development and potential risks that could affect future industry performance.
The webinar is intended to help industry stakeholders better understand economic conditions and their potential impact on RV manufacturing and sales activity.
The association serves as the primary trade organization for the RV sector, representing more than 500 manufacturers as well as component and aftermarket suppliers.
The association stated that its members collectively produce 98% of all RVs manufactured in the United States and approximately 60 percent of RVs produced worldwide.
With offices in the Washington, D.C., area and Elkhart, Indiana, the organization is a trade voice for the RV industry and works with members to advance growth and innovation across the outdoor recreation market.
The association reported that RVing generated an annual economic impact of $140 billion in the United States in 2022. It also said the industry contributed $13.6 billion in federal, state and local tax revenue during that year.
According to the association, the RV industry supported nearly 680,000 American jobs in 2022 and paid more than $48 billion in wages.
Beyond economic research and forecasting, the association said its mission includes expanding the RV market, pursuing a favorable business environment for the industry, providing market data and research, improving RV products, and supporting workforce development initiatives through programs such as the RV Technical Institute.
