Airxcel, a manufacturer of appliances and components for the RV industry, announced it has acquired Synergy Designs, adding a fast-growing soft-goods manufacturer to its portfolio as it looks to expand domestic furniture and soft-goods capabilities for RV original equipment manufacturers and dealer partners.
The move strengthens Airxcel’s ability to increase capacity and broaden product offerings while maintaining quality and service expectations.
Synergy Designs was founded in 2021 and is headquartered in Syracuse, Indiana. The company specializes in soft goods solutions for the RV market and has grown from a startup into a team of more than 50 employees in five years.
Airxcel said Synergy Designs has built a reputation for quality and service and has been recognized by customers, including as a two-time recipient of Jayco’s Supplier Blue Excellence Award.
Airxcel framed the acquisition as a strategic fit designed to support growth in furniture and soft-goods categories. The company said Synergy’s focus on craftsmanship and customer service aligns with Airxcel’s priorities, while Airxcel’s scale will enable investment in new offerings and expanded production capacity.
“For Airxcel, this is an exciting opportunity to build on our existing assortment and expanding our domestic furniture capability,” Anthony Wollschlager, president and CEO of Airxcel, said in a press release.
“Synergy brings proven domestic manufacturing, an exceptional team, and a customer-first mindset that fits seamlessly within our organization. Together, we can accelerate innovation and expand into new product categories while maintaining the quality and service our OEM and dealer partners expect,” Wollschlager added.
The acquisition positions the company to broaden its reach without changing its core approach to quality and service.
“We’re excited to join Airxcel and align with a company that shares our values,” Leighton Wells, Partner at Synergy Designs LLC, said in a press release.
“Joining Airxcel allows us to build on that foundation, expand our capabilities, and serve a broader customer base—all while staying true to what has made Synergy successful,” Wells said.
