Vixen Composites Expands RV Materials Portfolio With New Composite and FRP Solutions

Vixen Composites is introducing a lineup of engineered composite and fiberglass-reinforced plastic products for recreational vehicle applications at Airxcel’s 2026 Product Showcase in Elkhart, Indiana, with offerings aimed at reducing weight while improving moisture resistance, durability and manufacturing efficiency.

The products include a composite sandwich panel for roofs and floors, a ramp door panel, a slide-out composite floor and a range of fiberglass-reinforced plastic (FRP) products for sidewalls and specialty vehicle applications.

“Today’s RV manufacturers are seeking innovative materials that can help reduce weight without sacrificing strength, durability or manufacturability,” said Gordon Frost, business unit manager for Vixen Composites.

“Our engineered composite solutions are designed to deliver measurable benefits for OEMs while providing RV owners with vehicles that perform better, last longer and stand up to the demands of real-world use,” Frost added.

The 5/16-inch composite sandwich panel is designed for RV roof and floor applications. It uses a closed-cell PET core with fiberglass reinforcement and is intended to provide structural strength, moisture resistance and durability while integrating with existing OEM manufacturing processes.

Vixen’s one-piece ramp door panel is designed for toy-haulers and trailer ramp doors. The panel combines lightweight construction with the strength needed to support heavy equipment while improving weather resistance, safety and long-term reliability.

The slide-out composite floor is designed for RV slide-out systems and is intended to reduce weight while resisting water, insects and delamination. The company said those characteristics are intended to improve durability and reliability in the component.

Vixen also is showcasing its FRP product lineup, which is available in multiple finishes and thicknesses for sidewall and specialty vehicle applications. The collection includes FibroGloss, FibroElite, FibroMax, FibroSupreme, FibroPlus, FibroFlex and FibroSharp.

Vixen Composites, based in Elkhart, Indiana, has been part of the Airxcel family of brands since 2016. Airxcel’s New Product Showcase is by invitation only.
