Bill Koster of Protective Asset Protection will lead an interactive session on decision-making, biases and ethical considerations at the 2026 RV Dealers Convention/Expo, examining how business leaders can improve decisions that affect dealerships, employees and customers.
The session, “I’m Really Good at Making Bad Decisions!” is scheduled for Nov. 13 from 8 to 9 a.m. in the Burgundy room at Paris Las Vegas.
Koster will discuss why experienced professionals sometimes make irrational choices and how factors such as emotions, language and cognitive biases can influence business decisions.
Attendees will examine the effects of heuristics, framing and other influences on judgment, along with strategies for improving decision-making. The session will address decisions with ethical implications, which can carry significant consequences for dealership operations and the people they serve.
Koster also will participate in two events Nov. 11 during the convention. He is scheduled to join the RV Leadership Prayer & Coffee from 7 to 8 a.m., ahead of RVDA’s Annual Meeting and Breakfast.
Later Wednesday, Koster will moderate the Leadership Roundtable with U.S. and Canadian dealer leaders from 3:30 to 5 p.m. The session will bring dealers together for peer discussions on dealership challenges, including managing inventory and expenses in a slower market, strengthening workplace culture and evaluating finance and insurance (F&I) profit participation programs.
Koster has more than 40 years of experience in finance and insurance. He serves as division sales director for Protective Asset Protection, overseeing the company’s Southern Division of Specialty Products Sales.
He also works as an adjunct business professor and participates on RV industry and educational boards.

The 2026 RV Dealers Convention/Expo is scheduled for Nov. 9-13 at Paris Las Vegas. The event brings together dealers, manufacturers, suppliers and other RV industry business partners for education, networking and an exhibition of products and services for dealerships..
