Campground Owners Conference Session to Focus on Financial KPIs

The 2026 Campground Owners Conference will feature a session on campground financial performance, with Jeff Kirkman, M.A., scheduled to discuss occupancy rate, revenue per available site and net operating income margin.

The session, Financial Foundations 1.0, is scheduled for Nov. 3 at 9:45 a.m. at the Sheraton Vancouver Airport Hotel in Richmond, British Columbia, as part of the Canadian Outdoor Hospitality Conference & Expo (COHCE2026), which runs Nov. 1-4.

The session will address three performance indicators campground operators can use to evaluate their businesses: occupancy rate, which measures how effectively sites are being filled; revenue per available site, which tracks revenue potential; and net operating income margin, which measures how much revenue remains as operating profit.

According to LinkedIn by the Canadian Camping and RV Association, Kirk will present a framework for tracking financial performance and using the metrics to inform business decisions.

The conference is being promoted as Canada’s national in-person campground owners convention, bringing together campground operators, vendors and other outdoor hospitality industry participants for education and networking.

The event program includes keynote presentations, educational sessions, regional meetings, workshops, an industry trade show, awards, networking events, prizes and a live auction.

The CampEx trade show is expected to feature more than 50 vendor booths and at least 12 live information sessions. Organizers described it as Canada’s largest campground and outdoor hospitality trade show.

The conference will take place in Richmond, near Vancouver International Airport.

Registration information is available at cohce.ca.
