A popular holiday park in Lake District’s Ullswater (United Kingdom) was named the best overall glamping site in the top 14 glamping sites list by Mumsnet, a leading website for parents.
In the list, Ullswater’s The Quiet Site was named the best overall, according to a report.
The website based the list on the reviews of travel experts and people with their own forums. It also used other online reviews to determine how consumers rated their experiences.
“Finally, we cross-referenced all that information to compile a list of glamping sites that performed well across the board so that we could bring you a definitive selection,” the website said.
Ullswater’s The Quiet Site offers several glamping options for families, such as underground glamping burrows, carbon positive Gingerbread Houses, and wooden camping pods. It also has all-weather pitches for tents, motorhomes, and caravans.
“We are delighted that the mums on Mumsnet have selected The Quiet Site as the UK’s Best Overall Glamping Site for 2022,” said Daniel Holder, managing director of The Quiet Site.
“The Quiet Site has been welcoming families for almost 60 years, and we are now welcoming back third-generation campers from the same families.
“We have made many changes over the years, including new accommodation types, improved facilities, and now operating as a carbon zero business generating 70% of our own energy. However, the warm welcome and spectacular setting remains and is just part of the reasons that 80% of our visitors are returning guests.”
