The American Glamping Association (AGA) will host a virtual Lunch&Learn session Sept. 16 focused on tax planning strategies for glamping businesses, covering entity selection, cost segregation and potential tax considerations related to employing children.
The session, presented by Tyler Otto of Specialized Accounting, is scheduled for 1 p.m. Eastern Time. The session description also lists the event at 11 a.m. Mountain Standard Time.
The webinar is intended to provide glamping operators with practical information they can apply to their businesses, according to the AGA’s announcement. The session described its Lunch&Learn sessions as short, focused opportunities for industry professionals to learn from experts without taking up an entire day.
The Sept. 16 session will examine several tax-planning strategies that could affect how glamping businesses structure and manage their operations.
Topics will include entity selection and cost segregation, as well as strategies involving payments to children who work for a business.
“Join us for our next Lunch&Learn with Specialized Accounting! Your glamping property may be generating unforgettable guest experiences, but is it generating avoidable tax bills, too?” the announcement indicates.
According to the session description, Otto will discuss approaches intended to help glamping property owners identify potentially avoidable tax liabilities and retain more business cash.
The session is part of the association’s September Lunch&Learn programming, which is focused on helping glamping operators address business challenges, develop new ideas and obtain information they can use in their operations.
Each session is designed to provide practical insights and information that attendees can take back to their businesses. The September programming is being offered virtually.
“You’ll walk away with actionable ideas to help keep more cash in your business and less headed to the IRS,” the announcement adds.
The Sept. 16 webinar will be presented by Specialized Accounting, which the association described as returning for an all-new session.
