RV Fixed Operations Certification Week: A Catalyst for Industry Excellence

The RV industry is set to observe a significant event from March 3-9 – the RV Fixed Operations Certification Week.

Organized by the Society of Certified RV Professionals, the RV Technical Institute (RVTI), and the Mike Molino RV Learning Center, this week is dedicated to recognizing certified professionals and promoting continuing education in the RV service sector.

This event is crucial in highlighting the roles of service, parts, and warranty administration professionals in the RV industry. It aims to honor those who have achieved certification and inspire new professionals to pursue career development opportunities, according to a press release by the National RV Dealers Association (RVDA).

The RV Learning Center offers certification programs for various roles, including parts managers, service writers/advisors, and warranty administrators. These programs are designed to enhance service standards and operational efficiency in the RV industry.

In parallel, the RVTI provides comprehensive training for RV technicians. According to their website, they offer Level 1 to Level 3 certification programs, accessible online and through live classes. This training is crucial, given that 72 million Americans are planning RV trips, increasing the demand for skilled RV technicians.

To encourage participation, individuals earning new certifications during this week will receive a free one-year subscription to the RV Fixed Operations Today website. This initiative not only rewards effort but also equips professionals with valuable resources for ongoing development.

Curt Hemmeler, president of RVTI, and Phil Ingrassia, president of RVDA, emphasize the growing curriculum and accessible training programs. They highlight this period as an opportune time for professionals to enhance their skills.

The RVTI’s training programs are part of a broader effort to address the industry’s need for trained technicians. This initiative aims to improve the RV consumer experience and reduce repair times, addressing the industry’s shortage of trained technicians.

RV Fixed Operations Certification Week is not just a celebration but a strategic initiative to foster professional excellence in the RV industry. It underscores the importance of skilled professionals in enhancing the RV experience and meeting the growing demand in this sector.
