Texas Association of Campground Owners Unveils 2024 RV Travel & Camping Guide

The Texas Association of Campground Owners (TACO) has unveiled its latest offering to the camping and RV community: the 2024 RV Travel & Camping Guide to Texas. This essential resource, available in both print and digital formats, promises to enhance the camping experience across the Lone Star State.

Brian Schaeffer, TACO’s executive director and CEO, highlighted the guide’s role as a travel planning tool. It features detailed descriptions of camping sites and a wealth of information on activities, attractions, and events throughout Texas. The guide is a collaborative effort, incorporating insights from local chambers of commerce and convention and visitors bureaus.

TACO has printed 250,000 copies of the guide, which are being distributed at major RV shows in Texas, including the Houston RV Show and the Austin RV Expo. Additionally, Anderson’s Brochure Distribution Service is extending the guide’s reach by distributing it at 25 other RV shows across the country.

The guide’s availability extends to Texas Information Centers and Points of Entry into Texas, with TACO-member parks, chambers of commerce, and convention & visitors bureaus also distributing copies. Schaeffer noted the printed guide’s popularity, as it is frequently used for trip planning due to its comprehensive coverage of Texas attractions.

This year’s guide offers a fresh perspective on Texas, highlighting unique museums and attractions. These include the East Texas Oil Museum in Kilgore, Galveston Naval Museum, George H.W. Bush Presidential Library in College Station, and several others, each offering a unique glimpse into Texas’s rich history and culture.

The guide also serves as a directory, listing over 400 campgrounds, RV parks, and resorts in Texas. It provides essential information such as locator maps, park amenities, websites, and contact details for each park. The inclusion of the Texas Saver Card, offering discounts at participating parks, adds additional value for users.

For campground and outdoor hospitality operators, the guide is an invaluable tool. It not only promotes their locations but also helps in attracting a wider audience of RV and camping enthusiasts. The comprehensive nature of the guide ensures that all aspects of the Texas camping experience are covered, making it easier for operators to connect with potential visitors.

The guide’s digital format on TexasCampgrounds.com ensures accessibility for a broader audience, catering to the growing trend of digital resource utilization in travel planning. The digital version mirrors the print edition, offering the same wealth of information in an easily navigable format.

TACO, based in Crowley, Texas, represents a wide network of campgrounds, RV parks, and resorts across the state. The association’s commitment to enhancing the camping and RV experience in Texas is evident in the meticulous planning and execution of the 2024 RV Travel & Camping Guide.

The 2024 RV Travel & Camping Guide to Texas is a comprehensive resource that enriches the camping experience in Texas. It supports the growth of the campground and outdoor hospitality industry by connecting operators with a wider audience and providing essential information to enhance the camping experience.
