RVIA Starts Elections For 2023 Board Of Directors Next Week

The RV Industry Association (RVIA) will begin its election voting process next week for the association’s new Board of Directors.

The Board of Directors is the highest authority level in the association’s overall organization, as per the News & Insights report of the RVIA.

They are responsible for setting and overseeing strategy and policies related to critical topics such as standards, marketing, government affairs, industry education, statistical data, and association finances.

Four candidates are running for two Supplier category Board seats. These two openings are the only positions that are up for election this year. Voting will take place from Tuesday, September 6 until Monday, September 26.

Each member company is permitted one vote, cast by the member’s official representative. Official representatives will be contacted via email at the start of the election period with directions on how to submit their ballots.

Results will be announced in late September and the newly elected board members will begin serving their 3-year terms on January 1, 2023.

One of the candidates for the election is Matt Carboneau of Wesco Distribution, Inc. He is the sales manager of the Midwest region for WESCO Distribution.

He has been an active member of the Governance Committee and worked on an extensive update to the RVIA By-Laws.

Matt’s other association involvements included working on committees for membership, helping redefine what qualifies as an RV to help protect the industry’s reputation, activeness in the Advocacy Day in Washington DC, and was a project lead for the inaugural emerging leaders rehabilitation project at Potato Creek State Park.

Another candidate is Mike Hesse of Blue Ox. He is the CEO & Chairman of Blue Ox in Pender, Nebraska, a position he has held since 2016. He also served on the RVIA Board of Directors from 2018-2021.

The next candidate is Bill Rogers of Keystone Automotive Operations, Inc./NTP-STAG/Seawide. He currently serves as President for Keystone/NTP-STAG / Seawide.

Rogers is currently serving on the RV Industry Association Board of Directors, is the Chairman of the Standards Steering Committee, is a member of the RECT Task Force, and is a former member of the Governance Committee.

The fourth candidate is Jeffery Sather of Freightliner Custom Chassis Corp. He is the president and CEO of Freightliner Custom Chassis where he has been since February 2018.

Sather has been on the RVIA’s board of directors since March 2018 and serves on the Public and Legislative Affairs Committee and the new Investment Committee.
