RV Technical Institute, Truma Extend RV Technician Training Partnership Through 2026

Truma will continue its training partnership with the RV Technical Institute (RVTI) through 2026, offering complimentary, two-day RV systems courses at the institute’s Indiana campus and additional sessions at Truma’s headquarters, expanding access to certified technician education across multiple product categories.

The extended RVTI–Truma training program covers heating, combination heating and water systems, hydronic heating, on-demand water heating and cooling technologies. The sessions are designed to strengthen technician competency and support higher service standards across the RV industry.

The program continues an initiative first launched last year to enhance technician training and improve the RV ownership experience.

Courses held at the RVTI headquarters in Elkhart, Indiana, provide 16 continuing education credits and satisfy Truma’s internal product training requirements.

According to a News and Insights report RVIA on February 10, there are no prerequisites to attend. However, technicians seeking to apply the hours toward a Level 3 Appliance Specialty certification must already hold Level 1 and Level 2 certifications through the institute.

Seven training sessions are scheduled at the RVTI campus at 3333 Middlebury St. in Elkhart, Indiana: March 17-18, April 14-15, June 30-July 1, Aug. 11-12, Oct. 20-21, Nov. 17-18 and Dec. 15-16.

Registration is available through Truma, with the registration form also listed in the RVTI store.

Truma will also host three additional full product training sessions at its headquarters at 2800 Harman Dr. in Elkhart, Indiana.

Those sessions are scheduled for Feb. 10-11, April 28-30 and Sept. 29-Oct. 1. These courses focus on in-depth instruction specific to Truma systems and mirror the same core product categories covered in the institute-based classes.

The announcement also said vendors and suppliers interested in hosting RV technician training programs at its campus may contact Vice President Sharonne Lee directly to discuss partnership opportunities.
