RV Industry Association Awards Spotlight Leadership and Advocacy Across RV Sector

The RV Industry Association (RVIA) recognized six individuals and two members of Congress for their contributions to the RV sector during RVs Move America Week 2026, presenting awards for achievements in industry leadership, workforce development, government affairs, standards advancement and industry collaboration.

The annual awards program, overseen by the association’s Awards Committee, highlighted service and accomplishments that the organization said have advanced the RV industry across multiple areas.

According to a News and Insights report of RVIA on June 16, Matt Carboneau, strategic account manager for Wesco, received the National Service Award during the association’s annual meeting on June 2.

Carboneau was recognized for his service on the RVIA Board of Directors and its Government Affairs, Governance and Supplier committees. The association cited his involvement in policy development, organizational leadership and supplier representation within the RV market.

Whitney Holtz, president of Windish RV Center, Airstream of Colorado, Airstream of Utah and Airstream of Wyoming, received the National Education Service Award. Holtz was honored for her efforts in workforce development and for helping establish new career pathways for students interested in the RV industry.

The association said Holtz’s leadership led to the inclusion of the RV Technical Institute program in the curriculum at Littleton Public Schools’ EPIC Campus. Her work also helped create a model for partnerships between RVTI and high schools that can be replicated in communities nationwide.

Toby O’Rourke, president and CEO of Kampgrounds of America (KOA), received the David J. Humphreys RV Industry Unity Award during the RVIA Board of Directors meeting on June 4. O’Rourke was recognized for fostering collaboration among RV manufacturers, campground operators and outdoor hospitality leaders, as well as for KOA’s contributions to outdoor recreation research.

The association also announced two recipients of awards that will be presented at a future date. Bob Martin, president and CEO of THOR Industries, was named recipient of the Distinguished Service to the RV Industry Award, the organization’s highest honor, recognizing his 12 years of service on the board and leadership roles on several committees.

Martin Perlot, founder of Silverleaf Electronics and longtime chair of the RV-C Subcommittee, was selected for the Distinguished Achievement in RV Standards Award.
