Nature’s Resort in Homosassa, Florida, has been recognized with two industry honors in 2026 while announcing a series of property improvements and continued growth in reservations as it prepares for additional upgrades ahead of the upcoming snowbird season.
The resort was named the 2026 Park of the Year by the Florida and Alabama RV Park & Campground Association and also received the 2026 Best of the Best award from residents of Citrus County, Florida.
According to the resort, the awards recognize its guest experience and ongoing investments in the property.
Nature’s Resort said the recognition comes as it continues to expand and improve its facilities under General Resort Manager Jennifer Johnson, who assumed the role in October 2025.
Since then, the resort has completed several projects intended to enhance the property’s appearance and guest amenities.

Recent improvements include repainting the resort’s waterfront cabins, Marina Bar & Grill, clubhouse and reservation office to create a refreshed coastal appearance.
The resort also completed a landscaped Zen Sitting Zone surrounding its adults-only pool, along with a waterfront seating area overlooking the marina docks and the Halls River.
The resort said another renovation project is scheduled to begin within the next few weeks. Plans call for resurfacing and revitalizing the original family pool located next to the adults-only pool. Once completed, the resort will offer two updated pool areas designed for families and other visitors.
“The vision from myself and ownership have always been to create more than just a campground—we’re creating a destination where families, seasonal guests, and travelers can relax, reconnect with nature, and make lasting memories,” Jennifer Johnson, general manager of Nature’s Resort, said.

“To be recognized as both Park of the Year and Citrus County’s Best of the Best is an incredible honor, and it’s a testament to the dedication of our staff, the support of our guests, and our commitment to continually improving the resort,” she said.
Nature’s Resort also reported continued business growth, with reservations running 5-8% ahead of 2025. The resort said bookings for the 2026-2027 snowbird season have also been strong, reflecting increasing demand for Florida’s Nature Coast.
Located on nearly 100 acres along the Halls River, the resort features 393 RV sites, 25 rental chalets, two swimming pools, a pickleball court, splash pad, private marina with Gulf access, boat rentals, the Marina Bar & Grill, live entertainment, planned activities and a fitness center.
The property also provides access to Florida’s freshwater springs and manatee habitat.
