General RV Center is significantly expanding its Elizabethtown Supercenter in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, with a $15 million renovation project. This comprehensive expansion aims to nearly double the size of the facility, marking a substantial upgrade in both its operations and customer service capabilities.
The renovation includes three major components: an expanded RV lot, a new retail space, and a drive-thru service canopy addition.
Located in the heart of Lancaster County, the Elizabethtown Supercenter will benefit from 16 additional paved acres, allowing it to house three times its current capacity of RVs, according to a press release.
The project will also feature an over 15,000-square-foot retail building expansion and a new 7,000-square-foot drive-thru service canopy. These enhancements are expected to significantly elevate the customer experience, providing a broader selection of RVs and improved service facilities.
Loren Baidas, CEO of General RV, highlighted the importance of this project, stating, “We opened this location three years ago, and since then our store and customers have grown. We’re excited to take a significant leap forward and update our store to reflect our current Supercenter format. This renovation will allow us to deliver an even better experience to our new and existing customers throughout the region.”
Baidas added that once completed, the Elizabethtown Supercenter will be the largest, most state-of-the-art RV dealership in Pennsylvania and the surrounding states.
Despite the ongoing construction, which is expected to be completed by Spring 2025, the Supercenter will remain open to serve customers.
General RV is taking all necessary measures to minimize disruptions and ensure a seamless customer experience during this period. This Elizabethtown location is one of two General RV centers in Pennsylvania, with the second location having opened in 2023 in West Chester.
