The Gettysburg/Battlefield KOA Holiday has completed a campground enhancement project that upgraded electrical service at all RV sites to 30/50-amp, added new KOA Patio RV Sites, improved existing sites and upgraded property-wide Wi-Fi.
The improvements were developed throughout the 2026 season and were recognized during a ribbon cutting ceremony Aug. 28 attended by campground leadership, local tourism partners and community leaders.
The electrical work upgraded infrastructure across the property, providing 30/50-amp service at all RV sites to accommodate RV power needs.
The project also included new KOA Patio RV Sites and enhancements to additional existing RV sites.
Other upgrades include commercial-grade fire features, outdoor seating and gathering spaces intended for outdoor dining and relaxation. The campground also enhanced its Wi-Fi service as part of the project.
“We’re always looking for ways to enhance the guest experience while creating spaces where families and friends can make lasting memories together,” said Nate Thompson, partner at KCN Campgrounds.
“Upgrading the entire campground to 30/50-amp electrical service was a significant investment in the property, and together with our new KOA Patio Sites, additional site improvements and upgraded Wi-Fi, it allows us to better meet the needs of today’s RV travelers while giving guests even more ways to relax and enjoy everything that makes camping in Gettysburg so special,” Nate added.
The Aug. 28 ribbon cutting marked the completion of the project and brought together representatives involved with the campground and local tourism community.
“Gettysburg and Adams County welcome millions of visitors each year, and having a diverse range of quality accommodations is an important part of creating a strong visitor experience,” said Karl Pietrzak, president and CEO of Destination Gettysburg. “Investments like these at the Gettysburg / Battlefield KOA Holiday strengthen our tourism economy and give travelers even more ways to stay, explore and experience everything our destination has to offer.”
The campground is located near Gettysburg National Military Park and offers a forest setting along with accommodations and amenities for families, road trippers and outdoor enthusiasts.
The Gettysburg / Battlefield KOA Holiday is open through Nov. 1, 2026, with the season having opened April 4.
