OHI will offer a new preconference workshop aimed at aspiring campground, RV park, and glamping resort owners during the 2026 Outdoor Hospitality Conference & Expo, scheduled for Nov. 8 at the Fort Worth Convention Center in Texas.
The Prospective Owners Workshop, branded as POW!, will take place from 2 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on the opening day of OHCE2026 and is designed as a preparatory session for individuals planning to buy, build, or operate outdoor hospitality properties.
According to OHI, the half-day program will focus on core business considerations tied to campground and outdoor resort ownership, including due diligence, site planning, budgeting, infrastructure requirements, and operational planning.
Participants also will take part in interactive group sessions centered on the challenges associated with either building a new property or purchasing an existing one.
According to a press release, David Basler, chief strategy officer at OHI, said the workshop is intended to help prospective owners better navigate the early stages of ownership planning.
“Building or buying a campground is exciting, but it can feel like stepping into the unknown,” Basler said. “POW! gives prospective owners a clear roadmap, a support network, and the confidence to walk into OHCE ready to make the most of every opportunity.”
The workshop also is intended to provide attendees with networking opportunities before the full conference begins, allowing participants to connect with peers and industry mentors in a smaller group setting.
Attendees will enter the broader conference with an established network and a clearer understanding of industry operations and ownership considerations.
The workshop will be offered as a $229 add-on to OHCE2026 registration. Attendance will be limited.
OHCE2026 will be held at the Fort Worth Convention Center and is expected to bring together campground operators, RV park owners, glamping businesses, suppliers, and other outdoor hospitality professionals for educational sessions, networking events, and industry exhibits.
