Registration is open for the RV Technical Institute’s (RVTI) final Level 3 workshop of 2026, a two-day electronic specialty training program designed to help RV technicians complete the required hours for Level 3 Specialty certification and advance toward higher certification levels.
According to a News and Insights report of RVIA on August 4, the workshop is scheduled for Sept. 9-10 at the RV Technical Institute’s facility, located at 3333 Middlebury St. in Elkhart, Indiana.
Registration costs $60. According to the institute, the program is the last Level 3 workshop being offered this year and will focus on advanced training in electronic RV systems.
The curriculum includes instruction from several industry suppliers covering key electronic technologies and components.
Lippert will provide two hours of training on its One Control X Series system, while Winegard will deliver four hours of connectivity technology instruction.
Firefly Integrations will present six hours through its Firefly Training Academy, and Garnet Instruments will provide four hours of instruction on SeeLevel holding tank monitoring systems.
Its Level 3 training is intended for technicians seeking to expand their expertise in RV systems and components through advanced diagnostics, troubleshooting and repair techniques.
Each workshop is structured to provide all of the required training hours for a specific specialty area.
Participants who complete the electronic workshop will earn enough specialty training hours to achieve a Level 3 Specialty certification in electronics. The institute said technicians who complete training in all five Level 3 specialty categories become eligible to earn Level 4 Master Certification.
The workshop series was introduced in 2024 as a way to make Level 3 training more accessible by offering individual workshops dedicated to one specialty area at a time. The institute continued that format in 2026, focusing on three of the five specialty disciplines, with the electronic workshop serving as the final session of the year.
The institute noted that technicians who are unable to attend the September workshop can still complete Level 3 specialty training through authorized supplier courses offered throughout the year. Those supplier-led programs also provide opportunities to fulfill specialty training requirements outside the institute’s scheduled workshop series.
