Alpen Bluffs Opens in Gaylord, Features 227 RV Sites, 14 Glamping Yurts

Luxury glamping resort Alpen Bluffs, located along M-32 East near I-75, has officially opened its doors in Gaylord, offering a high-end outdoor experience with extensive amenities.

The resort, situated less than a mile from downtown Gaylord, combines traditional RV camping with the comfort and style of a high-end retreat.

The luxury glamping features 227 RV sites, 14 glamping yurts, and 30 fully furnished log cabins. All accommodations include full hook-ups to city water, sewer, and high-speed fiber internet.

“Our vision has always been to create a one-of-a-kind glamping retreat that will create memories for a lifetime,” said Rob Platt, co-owner of Alpen Bluffs.

“Whether you’re seeking fun, relaxation, or a memorable getaway with loved ones, Alpen Bluffs has something for everyone,” Platt added.

Guests have access to a variety of attractions, including an outdoor aquatic park, floating cabanas, a shipping container bar with live entertainment, and a seven-screen indoor golf simulator tavern.

Additional amenities include an outdoor pool, pickleball courts, a playground, an 18-hole mini golf course, and a gem mining sluice for kids.

The resort’s aquatic park, known as Inukshuk Shores, also features a floating obstacle course and a beach area designed for both adventure and relaxation.

General Manager Matt Erdmann emphasized the appeal of these unique offerings. “Our aquatic park has an incredible floating obstacle course, a beach, and relaxing floating cabanas,” Erdmann said, as reported by 9 and 10 News.

“It’s a very unique resort with golf and skiing within a stone’s throw,” added Platt. “Not only do we have RV sites, but our cabins hold up to eight people and are fully furnished.”

“In addition, we offer a unique overnight experience in our glamping yurts. Collectively, I consider Alpen Bluffs as Michigan’s very first outdoor hotel that you can stay for the evening, weekend, a month, or even seasonally,” Platt noted.

The resort aims to attract a wide range of visitors, from families seeking a weekend getaway to long-term seasonal guests.
