Another round of comprehensive discussions on the campground industry awaits viewers on next week’s episode of MC Fireside Chats, broadcasting live on October 19, as we bring together some of the sphere’s experts and leading names.
The podcast will be joined by special guests Torrey Trails RV and Golf Resort Developer Amir Harpaz, Four Points RV Resorts CEO Sean Vidrine, and JH Consulting Solutions Founder Jeff Hoffman as they discuss their experiences working in the campground industry and where they see it is heading.
Harpaz, Vidrine, and Hoffman will be joined by recurring guests CRR Lifestyle Company COO Mike Harrison, Papoose Pond Family Campground & Cabins Co-owner Duncan Winship, and App My Community Founder Joe Duemig.

Last week’s glamping episode featured special guests Nantli Living CEO Miguel Huerta and COO and Co-founder of Campsaround Katerina Kamtsi, joined by returning guests American Glamping Association Founder Ruben Martinez, Outside Capital Founder and Managing Principal David Smith, and The Fields of Michigan Founder and CEO Irene Wood.
The episode explored the state of the glamping industry in other parts of the world with Kamtsi discussing how glamping has provided an uplift to the traditional Greek camping industry.
“It was a bigger opportunity since it is something new. It was the right time to refresh the industry in Greece,” Kamtsi said.
She later noted that camping in Europe is a different affair compared to the United States as European campers travel from country to country to experience different cultures as opposed to focusing solely on experiencing nature.
Huerta, on the other hand, talked about his experience running a glamping business in a country heavily affected by inflation. Such macroeconomic issues are making it harder to operate in Mexico according to Huerta, but added that the internal market is making up for the lack of demand from foreign tourists.
As he looks to the future, Huerta commented that he would like to have a Latino glamping association in order to get more Latin Americans involved in the glamping industry and provide a venue to share industry best practices.
The show also took a brief look back at the recently concluded 2022 Glamping Show USA and how it was able to provide a platform for different perspectives in the glamping industry and the active development that it is undergoing.
As people return to their normal lives before the pandemic, Woods noted that glamping sites will be seeing fewer and fewer guests visiting due to scheduling constraints. In order to continue the success of a glamping business, Woods notes, glamping sites must keep their brand and accommodations fresh in order to maintain public interest.
For Kamtsi, one way to continue to grow in the industry is to take advantage of what the site’s particular geography can offer, while understanding the nuances in branding and marketing from country to country.
