MC Fireside Chats: How 2023 is Shaping Up for the Glamping Industry

Next week’s episode of MC Fireside Chats looks to be a special one as guest experts from the glamping industry are set to engage in insightful discourse on the latest news and trends following this week’s episode streamed live from the Glamping Show USA.

As the glamping industry heads into another new year filled with challenges and opportunities, hosts Brian Searl and Cara Csizmadia and regular guests American Glamping Association Founder Ruben Martinez and Outside Capital Founder and Managing Principal David Smith will be looking back at how glamping has shifted and adapted over the past year, and exploring what it would be like for the industry next year.

The panel will be joined by special guests Miguel Huerta and Katerina Kamtsi. Huerta is the CEO of Nantli Living which owns and operates unique rentals such as glamping sites, hostels, and boutique hotels in Mexico. Kamtsi, on the other hand, is the COO and Co-founder of Campsaround, the first online booking platform for alternative accommodations, and camping and glamping sites in Greece.

Huerta and Kamtsi will be providing additional expert insight into the nuances of the glamping industries in Mexico and Greece, and discuss what they see in the future for these markets.

The panel of experts and thought leaders in the glamping industry will also revisit some of the topics brought up during last week’s special episode streamed from the Glamping Show USA.

This week’s episode of MC Fireside Chats featured special guests Yurts for Life owner Sacha Macey, Sage Outdoor Advisory Director for Outdoor Resorts and Glamping Connor Schwab of Sage Outdoor Advisory, Clockwork Glamping and RV Resort Design Leader Zachary Stoltenberg, and Glampitect North America Managing Director Nick Purslow.

The guests featured during the podcast highlighted the shifting paradigm in the glamping industry and the need to evolve and innovate to address new challenges and open up new opportunities for growth.

Schwab talked about his work at Sage Outdoor Advisory and how tracking data is crucial in providing a deeper, more comprehensive look into the market for business owners and investors alike.

Purslow on the other hand brought up the importance of collaboration and creating meaningful connections with people in the industry as vital to business growth and sustainability.

Macey and Stoltenberg, meanwhile, emphasized that the essence of the hospitality industry is the guest experience, and understanding the needs and sensibilities of the target market is crucial in being able to tailor one’s business to provide a better experience.
