Jellystone Park Camp-Resorts, known for its Yogi Bear-themed amenities, is expanding its range of accommodations across the United States and Canada.
Trent Hershenson, vice president of marketing at the Southfield, Michigan-based franchise, reports that numerous parks will introduce new cabins and glamping options.
These new accommodations can house 10 to 14 guests, catering to larger groups and family gatherings. “Many of the new rental units will be available on Memorial Day, but some will open later in the summer,” Hershenson said.
In Massachusetts, the expansion includes the installation of eight glamping pods at the Carver location. These pods feature a full-sized bed, twin bed, futon, and mini-refrigerator. Each pod is also equipped with a picnic table and fire ring, with easy access to nearby comfort stations.
Further enhancements are evident at Ohio’s Mt. Gilead site, which is adding eight new lakefront cabins expected to open by the Memorial Day weekend. This expansion builds on last year’s addition of 30 log cabins and the introduction of “Bark and Roll” sites, specialized campsites with private fenced areas for pets.
The Nova location in Ohio continues this trend by adding new cabins and ten new glamping units. These units have beds, bathrooms, kitchenettes, air-conditioning, and heating systems.
Moving southwest to Texas, Burleson Park will introduce three-grain bin cabins. Each is repurposed from an actual grain bin. These unique two-story cabins feature a full kitchen, cozy bunk beds, and a half bath on the upper level, providing comfort for up to six guests.
Kerrville, Texas, is not far behind in its enhancements, with the addition of two ranger retreats, each capable of hosting up to 15 guests.
For Virginia’s expansion efforts, Natural Bridge Station has added six safari tents and a ranger retreat that can host more than ten people. In Canada, Kingston, Nova Scotia, has two new trailer rentals.
Jellystone Park Camp-Resorts, with over 75 locations in North America, features a variety of attractions, including pools, water slides, and scheduled activities with Yogi Bear and friends. The parks cater to guests seeking traditional camping and more luxurious experiences.
Jellystone Park Camp-Resorts’ strategic approach to expanding its accommodations can serve as a valuable blueprint for RV park owners and campground operators looking to elevate their own guest experiences.
By introducing diverse lodging options such as cabins, glamping pods, and unique grain bin cabins, Jellystone is directly responding to the evolving preferences of modern campers who seek both traditional and more luxurious outdoor experiences. This diversification allows the franchise to cater to a broader range of customers, from families and large groups to those desiring a more upscale camping experience.
