Compete for Kids Campaign Raises Over $100,000 to Support Pediatric Oncology Camps

Fifty-two RV dealerships across the United States raised more than $100,000 during National Camping Month through the 2026 Compete for Kids campaign, a fundraising initiative organized by Care Camps Foundation in partnership with the National RV Dealers Association.

The proceeds will help fund camp experiences for children with cancer and their families across the United States and Canada.

The monthlong campaign, held throughout June, encouraged RV dealerships to engage customers, employees and local communities in a friendly fundraising competition supporting Care Camps Foundation.

The initiative united dealerships nationwide to raise funds for pediatric oncology camps while reinforcing the RV industry’s support for outdoor experiences and families.

According to Care Camps Foundation, money raised through Compete for Kids provides ongoing funding for more than 120 pediatric oncology camps that collectively serve more than 45,000 children and family members each year.

The camps are medically supervised and designed to offer children with cancer opportunities for recreation, connection and outdoor experiences at no cost to participating families.

“RV dealers have always understood the importance of creating opportunities for families to connect through the outdoors,” Phil Ingrassia, president of the National RV Dealers Association, said.

“Compete for Kids is a meaningful extension of those values, bringing dealerships together across the country to support children with cancer and their families. We are proud to partner with Care Camps Foundation on a campaign that we believe will become an annual tradition for the RV industry,” Ingrassia added.

According to a press release, Jenna Berneck, development director of Care Camps Foundation, said the partnership reflects a shared commitment to the benefits of outdoor experiences for families facing childhood cancer.

“The partnership between Care Camps Foundation and the RV industry is a natural fit because we share a belief in the power of the outdoors to change lives,” Berneck said. “Our mission helps children and families navigating a cancer journey create meaningful memories in the outdoors and through Compete for Kids, RV dealerships are helping make those experiences possible. We are incredibly grateful to every participating dealership, every customer, every employee, and every sponsor who helped raise more than $100,000.”

The campaign received support from Lightspeed DMS, Grand Design, Priority One Financial Services, National Powersport Auctions and Battle Born.

The top three fundraising dealerships will be recognized during the RV Dealers Convention & Expo in Las Vegas on Nov. 11, when the official campaign rankings are announced.

Following the results of the 2026 campaign, Care Camps Foundation and the National RV Dealers Association said they plan to continue Compete for Kids as an annual June fundraising initiative, providing RV dealerships across North America with an opportunity to support children with cancer and their families through pediatric oncology camps.
