Island Hospitality Management, headquartered in West Palm Beach, Florida, announced the launch of its new outdoor division, IHM Outdoors, in response to the increasing demand for outdoor experiences among travelers.
According to a press release, this strategic move aims to enhance the company’s footprint in the experiential travel market, a sector currently characterized by a dominance of smaller, independently owned properties. There is significant growth potential within the outdoor hospitality segment, emphasizing the opportunity for consolidation and the implementation of more sophisticated, centralized management approaches.
“What we’re bringing to it is years of experience in hospitality management experience,” Forde said.
IHM Outdoors oversees five destinations, collectively offering approximately 2,000 sites across various outdoor hospitality categories, including recreational vehicle resorts, vacation rentals, and glamping sites.
The portfolio includes Sun Outdoors San Diego Bay in Chula Vista, California; Sun Outdoors Paso Robles in Paso Robles, California; Sun Outdoors Lake Rudolph in Santa Claus, Indiana; Jellystone Park at Larkspur in Larkspur, Colorado; and Jellystone Park of Western New York in North Java, New York. This expansion reflects Island Hospitality’s commitment to diversifying its service offerings and capitalizing on the growing interest in outdoor leisure activities.
“This is clearly a burgeoning area in the hospitality market. These RV resorts and other locations provide a different stay experience. At its core, it’s the same thing: people taking care of people,” Forde said.
Each location under IHM Outdoors offers a variety of accommodation options, including cabins, vacation rentals, and RV sites, catering to the preferences of a broad audience.
