As the camping and RV industry continues to grow, more and more investors are looking to get in on the action. One such company is Happy Camper Capital, a Colorado-based campground investment firm that recently announced the acquisition of its newest RV resort, Beyonder Resort Cajun Moon, located near Lake Charles, Louisiana.
This marks Happy Camper Capital’s fifth acquisition and its first since the initial closing of its $25-million Outdoor Hospitality Sun & Fund. The fund is seeking to purchase a total of six to ten additional campgrounds, RV parks, and marinas, the company said in a press release.

Beyonder Resort Cajun Moon, formerly known as the A+ Motel & RV Park, offers 128 premium full-hookup sites, 32 motel rooms, and a variety of amenities for all ages, including separate swimming areas for kids and adults, a lazy river, spa, pond, playground, and an outdoor games area.
In addition to this acquisition, Happy Camper Capital is also planning for further expansion at the resort. The company is in the process of acquiring an adjacent parcel that will be developed to add an additional 70 RV sites.
Other new amenities will include a bar, a robust camp store, a snack stand, and wireless electric meters. With the rising popularity of electric vehicles, spurred on by government incentives, Happy Camper Capital will be installing wireless metering into all of its properties nationwide.
The Outdoor Hospitality Sun & Fund, launched in November 2022, is still open to new investors, Happy Camper said.
According to Happy Camper Capital Co-Founder Adam Lendi, the fund was created in response to overwhelming demand from investors looking to diversify their portfolios while maintaining high potential cash flow and taking advantage of the tax benefits of accelerated depreciation.

For campground owners, the acquisition of Beyonder Resort Cajun Moon and Happy Camper Capital’s expansion plans serve as a reminder of the growing interest in the outdoor hospitality industry and the potential for increased investment in the sector.
Additionally, the emphasis on electric vehicle infrastructure and amenities demonstrates the importance of staying current with industry trends in order to attract and retain guests.
