As the year draws to a close, Go RVing is celebrating a successful 2024 marked by a series of experiential events designed to promote the RV lifestyle. The events aimed to engage diverse audiences and showcase the accessibility and appeal of RV travel. Attendees were offered firsthand opportunities to explore recreational vehicles in unique settings, encouraging interest and inspiring potential RV ownership.
Go RVing’s strategy revolves around connecting consumers with the RV lifestyle through live experiences. These initiatives allow participants to engage with RVs directly, exploring their features, uses, and affordability.
A cornerstone of Go RVing’s experiential efforts is also its collaboration with dealer and manufacturer partners. This year, Go RVing hosted 12 experiential events across a range of venues, including air shows, music festivals, and golf tournaments. These locations were chosen to introduce RVing to audiences who might not encounter it in their usual routines.
The events attracted more than two million attendees, with nearly 100,000 individuals stopping to tour the RVs on-site. These tours offered an immersive experience, allowing potential customers to see the functionality and comfort of RVs up close.
Nearly 5,000 leads were generated through these events, underscoring their effectiveness in converting curiosity into actionable interest.
According to a News and Insights report of RVIA, Dana DelVecchio, Go RVing’s senior manager of programs and experiential events, emphasized the value of these interactions, stating, “We enjoyed speaking with consumers at this year’s experiential events. We had countless interactions with interested individuals, telling them about the freedom and control that the RV lifestyle offers.”
Looking ahead, DelVecchio expressed enthusiasm for engaging with even more consumers in future events.
