The company has acquired 20 acres south of the park, earmarked for a Signature Camp designed to enhance the camping experience for outdoor enthusiasts, as per a USA Today report.

These campsites are renowned for blending the rustic appeal of outdoor living with the comforts of modern amenities, catering to the evolving preferences of campers who seek a more refined outdoor experience.

REI’s forthcoming Grand Canyon site plans to feature 10 tents on elevated platforms, ensuring a comfortable and elevated camping experience. The design includes a communal fire pit, picnic area, and three communal restrooms with showers, encapsulating the essence of communal outdoor living while providing privacy and convenience.

Set off Alta Villa Road in Valle, the campground’s location is optimal, nestled between the rustic town of Williams and the majestic Grand Canyon National Park entrance. Its proximity to Under Canvas Grand Canyon and the quirky Bedrock City adds a unique flavor to the camping experience, blending natural wonders with cultural attractions.

The anticipated launch in spring 2025 marks a significant milestone in REI’s commitment to enhancing outdoor hospitality. Operating from April to October, the campground aims to accommodate the seasonal influx of tourists seeking to explore the Grand Canyon’s natural beauty.
