Truma North America is entering 2026 with a renewed focus on product innovation and expanded technician training as the RV supplier positions itself for growth despite a challenging market, according to President and CEO Mark Howlett.
Howlett said the company’s priorities include delivering “premium products,” strengthening partner support and continuing its long-term strategy, as Truma North America moves forward under new leadership following executive changes in 2025.
“Almost every article you read right now discusses the past year of ups and downs, tariff unknowns, and perseverance,” Howlett said in the company’s press release. “It’s that last one – perseverance – where we are focused here at Truma.”
Howlett was appointed President and CEO of Truma North America after succeeding Gerhard Hundsberger, who left the company in Fall 2025.
Howlett has worked at Truma North America since 2013 and previously served as executive vice president and COO, with responsibilities spanning sales, business development, supply chain, service, and operations.
The company highlighted multiple product developments aimed at the Class B and Class C RV segments.
“We had several new product launches in 2025, including the Truma Combi G (gasoline) and Truma Combi D (diesel), both of which provide OEM with premium single-fuel solutions in the Class B & C markets,” Howlett said.
He added that a new Aventa rooftop air conditioner with heat pump functionality is entering the market “this month” and will be offered with or without SoftStartRV technology. “Consumers have been requesting this option,” Howlett said.
Truma also continues to emphasize established systems, including the AquaGo on-demand water heater. Howlett said company data shows the AquaGo remains “the most requested water heater by consumers” because of features tied to winterization and decalcification and because it provides “true at-the-tap on-demand hot water.”
On the service side, Stacey Harris, head of service, retail sales, and marketing, said Truma rolled out a new Dealer/Service Program in late 2025 and now has “more than 500 trained Truma Service Partners and Premium Partners across North America.”
Training eligibility is tied to technician participation, Harris said. “If more than 25% of your technicians are Truma-trained, you are eligible to participate in the program,” she said.
Truma plans four two-day workshops at its headquarters in Elkhart, Indiana, additional monthly sessions with RVTI on the RVTI Campus in Elkhart, and onsite and virtual training options throughout 2026.
