Rick’s RV Sales, a family-owned dealership in Ville Platte, Louisiana, expanded its inventory of 2026 and 2027 travel trailers and fifth wheels.
The update included units from manufacturers Forest River and Keystone to accommodate buyers across the Lafayette region.
The updated lineup featured multiple Forest River models, including the Cherokee Wolf Pup, Grey Wolf, Wolf Den, Alpha Wolf, Flagstaff Micro Lite, and Flagstaff Super Lite.
The expansion also introduced Keystone Montana, Forest River Sandpiper, Arctic Wolf, and Montana High Country fifth wheels.
The inventory selection addressed a regional demand for lightweight towable campers, family bunkhouse layouts, and solar-ready models.
Dry weights for select travel trailers began between 2,500 and 3,000 pounds, with sleeping capacities ranging from two to 10 occupants depending on the floor plan, according to an article by KXLG.
Available features across the mid-sized and large models included slide-out layouts, solar-ready configurations, outdoor kitchens, and bunkhouse or loft designs tailored for group travel.
Ricky Johnson, president of Rick’s RV Sales, noted that modern buyers evaluate multiple operational factors during the purchasing process.
“Buyers today compare more than floor plans; they review towing weight, sleeping capacity, and long-term usability before selecting an RV,” Johnson said.
Founded in 1986, the dealership operates with a non-commissioned sales staff and provides upfront pricing.
The business also features an on-site service facility for ongoing RV maintenance, parts supply, and repair support.
For the RV industry, the strategic inventory expansion by regional dealerships highlights a sustained consumer preference for versatile, towable units.
