Vortex Aquatic Structures International has launched Epik N°1 and Epik N°2, two large-scale interactive aquatic play features designed to serve as signature centerpieces in Splashpad environments and other aquatic spaces, the company announced.
The new products aim to increase visual impact, user engagement, and group play through sculptural design and synchronized water effects.
The launch expands the company’s “VECTORY collection,” introduced in 2025 to promote movement, creativity, and dynamic play.
With the addition of Epik N°1 and Epik N°2, the collection now includes 12 products focused on high-capacity, interactive aquatic experiences and destination-style installations.
According to Vortex, both features are engineered to function as highly visible focal points within public aquatic play areas, combining large-scale structures with immersive water interactions intended to draw users and spectators.
The company said the designs respond to growing demand from communities for play installations that are both visually distinctive and socially engaging.
“As public spaces evolve, so do expectations for play environments,” the company said in its announcement.
The two Epik models share a dual bucket configuration built to increase play intensity and sustain user activity. The alternating bucket dumps are designed to produce “unpredictable splash” sequences that build anticipation and encourage group participation.
Vortex said the system promotes continuous motion and shared experiences among users rather than single-user interactions.
The dual bucket system operates using SplashSync, a Vortex patent-pending technology that synchronizes water action to maintain what the company described as nonstop, high-energy play while supporting efficient water use. The coordinated timing is intended to keep play cycles active and reduce downtime between major splash events.
Richard Martin, vice president of product development at Vortex Aquatic Structures International, said the features were designed to be visually and physically engaging at multiple distances.
“With Epik, we wanted to design features that stand out from afar and fully engage users up close,” Martin said. “Epik N°1 and N°2 are designed as iconic centerpieces that encourage movement, shared experiences, and lasting memories.”
Vortex said the new Epik features are now available as part of its Splashpad product offerings for aquatic facilities and public play spaces.
