Blue Terra Management has acquired the Pendleton KOA Journey in eastern Oregon, expanding its outdoor hospitality portfolio to more than 1,250 RV sites across seven parks, resorts and campgrounds, Kampgrounds of America (KOA) announced Aug. 13.
The Pendleton property adds an Oregon campground to Blue Terra Management’s growing Pacific Northwest presence. The company operates as an outdoor hospitality operating and investment platform, with services spanning property operations, revenue management, site optimization, business development, financial reporting, budgeting, marketing, branding and asset management.
Located off Interstate 84 in Pendleton, the campground provides travelers with an overnight stop and access to the city’s Western heritage, museums, shopping, restaurants and outdoor recreation.
The property also serves as a base for exploring northeastern Oregon.
“Pendleton has long been an important stop for travelers throughout the Northwest, and this campground fits perfectly within our growing portfolio,” said Jake Fink, managing principal of Blue Terra Management.
“We’re excited to build on KOA’s trusted reputation while continuing to provide a welcoming, convenient experience for guests traveling through the region,” Fink added.
KOA cited the economic contribution of campers to local communities as part of the announcement. According to the company’s annual Camping and Outdoor Hospitality Report, campers contributed $66 billion to local economies in 2025, with the average camper spending more than $200 per day while camping.
The report also found that 33% of campers are interested in visiting small towns and 38% are drawn to historic sites.
The Pendleton KOA Journey offers bathrooms and showers, Wi-Fi, cable TV, a KampK9 dog park, playground, clubhouse, horseshoe pits, pool table, camp store, laundry facilities and propane service.
The campground also features views of the Blue Mountains and lodging options that include a covered wagon experience.
The property is among more than 500 open-to-the-public KOA campgrounds in the United States and Canada. KOA’s campground system also includes KOA Holiday and KOA Resort properties.
The Pendleton KOA Journey, located at 1375 SE 3rd Street in Pendleton, is open year-round. Reservations are available through the campground website, the KOA App or by phone at 541-276-1041.
