TAXA Outdoors, a manufacturer of lightweight, minimalist mobile habitats for outdoor adventure, announced TAXA X, a new series of next-generation off-road habitats engineered to navigate rugged terrain.
The TAXA X series, which includes Mantis X, Cricket X, TigerMoth X, and Woolly Bear X, is designed with features specifically tailored for off-road enthusiasts by experienced off-roaders.
According to a press release, TAXA X trailers represent the company’s commitment to enhancing off-road adventures, combining TAXA’s core design principles with new innovations to create “durable and capable mobile habitats.”
The TAXA X models are built on the foundation of TAXA’s Overland trailers but have been re-engineered to offer enhanced performance in more extreme conditions. Key features of these models include advanced suspension systems that improve shock absorption and stability on uneven surfaces.
The reinforced chassis also provides additional structural integrity, ensuring that the trailers can handle the demands of rough terrain.
Additionally, these new models feature protective skid plates, shielding the undercarriage from damage caused by rocks and other obstacles. The inclusion of off-road rockslides offers further protection for the chassis.
The trailers are also equipped with aircraft-grade rivets, which enhance durability and provide resistance to vibration during off-road travel. “”Versatile exterior storage” options are available through integrated Molle panels.
Additionally, the Woolly Bear X and TigerMoth X models come with upgraded cargo roof racks, offering additional capacity for carrying essential gear on extended trips.
According to Neil Grimmer, CEO of TAXA Outdoors, the TAXA X trailers are designed to embody the company’s philosophy of enabling adventurers to “go farther.”
“We’ve taken everything we know about exploring the wild to craft a line that empowers adventurers and gives them confidence to hit the hardest terrain. These habitats are more rugged than ever,” Grimmer explained.
Founded by a former NASA architect, TAXA Outdoors creates lightweight adventure trailers that can be towed by most vehicles and stored in standard garages. Each trailer is customizable and built with thoughtful details and quality materials to meet the needs of outdoor enthusiasts.
