RVWA, RVTI Partner to Offer Women’s RV Technician Training at Campground Owners Expo

The RV Women’s Alliance (RVWA) and the RV Technical Institute (RVTI) have joined forces with the Campground Owners Expo (COE) to deliver specialized RV technician training for women attending this year’s event.

Scheduled to take place from December 4-7, at the Hilton Branson Convention Center in Branson, Missouri, the expo aims to empower campground owners and staff with essential skills in RV maintenance and operations.

For the fourth annual gathering, the partnership introduces RVTI’s Level 1 technician training, recognized as a foundational program that equips participants with the necessary knowledge to prepare RVs for customer use.

This training covers the inspection and operational verification of all RV components, ensuring that each vehicle is ready for service. By participating, campground owners and their staff can enhance the service offerings at their facilities.

According to a press release, RVWA President Susan Carpenter expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration, emphasizing the benefits this training could bring to female campground owners and staff. “We are thrilled to partner with RVTI and COE to offer this valuable training opportunity,” Carpenter said. She highlighted how the training could enhance guest satisfaction while creating new revenue opportunities for campgrounds capable of delivering essential RV repairs on-site.

COE’s registration policy for campgrounds allows a flat rate of $200, covering up to five participants from a single park. This enables a flexible approach where one individual can undertake RVTI’s technician training while other team members attend COE seminars and explore the trade show offerings. With this arrangement, parks can train key staff members without sacrificing the learning opportunities available for others, broadening the overall expertise of their teams.

RVTI Executive Director Curt Hemmeler also noted the value of RV technician training for campgrounds, citing the opportunity to elevate the customer experience through enhanced service offerings. “Campgrounds are such an important part of the customer experience,” Hemmeler stated. He acknowledged COE’s support in showcasing RVTI’s training to campground professionals, describing the collaboration as a strategic investment in campground teams and their capacity to serve guests effectively.

The expo serves as a significant networking and educational event for campground operators, drawing professionals from across the industry to exchange insights and explore emerging trends. Attendees have the chance to connect with peers, engage in informative sessions, and discover innovative products and services tailored to the campground sector.

COE Founder Lori Severson echoed this sentiment, pointing to the advantages of integrating technician training into the expo’s agenda. “We are proud to partner with RVWA and RVTI to offer this valuable training opportunity to our attendees,” Severson remarked.
