The RV Technical Institute (RVTI) trained nine technicians at RCD RV Supercenter’s Sunbury, Ohio, location, with all participants passing a Level 1 course led by institute trainer Mike Anderson.
The dealer on-site training program brings RVTI instructors to eligible dealerships, allowing technicians to complete instruction at their workplace rather than traveling to the institute’s facility.
Dealerships must be registered with RVTI as either a Location Subscriber or an Authorized Learning Partner+ to qualify for on-site courses.
The Level 1 course covered foundational recreational vehicle systems, including propane, electrical, water, appliances, body, generator and chassis components.
Technicians received instruction intended to strengthen their ability to inspect, maintain and prepare RVs by checking that components operate properly.
According to a News and Insights report of RVIA, Halle Howard, account manager for RVTI, said the training at RCD RV Supercenter supports the institute’s efforts to expand technical education across the industry.
“Collaborating with RCD RV Superstore for on-site Level 1 training underscores our commitment to expanding technical education across the RV industry,” Howard said.
“Empowering technicians with strong foundational skills elevates the entire service experience for RV owners, and we are excited to continue driving growth together through future dealer on-site courses,” Howard added.
The Sunbury session was part of RVTI’s dealer on-site training offering, which provides instruction at participating dealership locations. The institute’s eligibility requirements limit the program to dealerships registered through one of its two approved participation categories.
