The RV industry saw significant progress in the past year thanks to the initiatives and programs of the RV Women’s Alliance (RVWA), as per the News & Insights report of the RV Industry Association.
The organization’s membership hit an all-time high, with participation from over 1,500 people from over 500 RV companies. The RVWA published its first annual Impact Report, highlighting the organization’s impact on members and the wider RV industry.
RVWA President Susan Carpenter said the organization started the year with a new strategic plan that fine-tuned its mission and the value it can deliver to members, partners, and sponsors.
The organization took on its biggest event in 2022 with the inaugural Education Symposium. This two-day event brought women from all over the industry together to learn more about becoming great leaders.
During the event, the inaugural RV Women’s Alliance Awards were presented to those that are true champions of women within the industry, up-and-coming leader, as well as a leader that has earned lifetime achievement for all their work within the industry.
The RVWA also partnered with the RV Technical Institute to offer an all-female RV tech class that graduated 22 women from the Level 1 program. This program was so popular that it is being taken nationwide in 2023.
Another successful program was the mentorship program, which was launched after a request from members since the organization’s inception. The six-month pilot program matched five pairs of women, and with such positive feedback, the RVWA launched a full-scale mentorship program for 2023.
The RVWA has been a catalyst for bringing people together within the RV industry, connecting men and women, and helping to advance the industry. The Impact Report highlights the organization’s achievements and progress and serves as a reminder of the valuable contributions that the RVWA has made to the RV industry.
