The RV Technical Institute is partnering with Blue Compass RV for the 2024 American School Counselor Association Conference (ASCA), held in Kansas City, from July 13 to July 16. This annual event serves as a platform for connecting with counselors and administrators to educate them about the Institute’s certified RV technician career path.
The RV Technical Institute, regular attendees of the conference, view this event as an opportunity to introduce high school students to skilled trades. By connecting with educators and decision-makers, the Institute aims to integrate its curriculum into high school programs, encouraging students to consider a career as RV technicians.
According to a News & Insights report of RVIA, Blue Compass RV will provide a full-sized RV unit for the Institute’s booth in the exhibit hall. This collaboration marks the second year that Blue Compass has supported the institute by providing an RV for display, enhancing the institute’s engagement with conference attendees.
Justin Rickett, senior manager of recruitment for the RV Technical Institute, expressed enthusiasm for the upcoming event.
“We’re excited to attend the 2024 American School Counselor Association Conference and greatly appreciate the support of Blue Compass RV. Providing this unit allows the Institute to stand out and gives our representatives more opportunities to connect with attendees, which is a valuable networking opportunity,” he said.
The ASCA supports school counselors. The ASCA helps students focus on academic, career, and social/emotional development to achieve success in school and lead fulfilling lives. The annual conference, attended by over 6,000 counselors and school administrators nationwide, promotes these goals.
During the conference, the RV Technical Institute showcases the benefits of a career as an RV technician. The fully-equipped RV at their booth provides a tangible example of what the career entails, sparking interest among counselors and students.
