U.S. RV shipments ended 2025 with modest growth, according to new data from the RV Industry Association (RVIA).
The association’s December 2025 survey of manufacturers shows total RV shipments for the year reached 342,220 units, a 2.5% increase over 2024.
December shipments totaled 23,220 units, up 0.3% from the 23,153 units shipped during the same month a year earlier. The year-end results largely aligned with industry forecasts and signal cautious optimism heading into 2026.
“2025 year-end shipments finished up slightly and in line with the forecasts shared by ITR Economics throughout the year,” Craig Kirby, president and chief executive officer of RVIA, said.
“As we move into 2026, we are optimistic that this modest upward trend will continue, fueled by improving economic conditions and an incredible lineup of travel milestones perfect for RVing,” he added, as reported by a Market Report of RVIA for December 2025.
Kirby pointed to several major events expected to drive travel demand in the coming year, including nationwide celebrations marking America’s 250th birthday, the FIFA World Cup, and the 100th anniversary of Route 66.
“There has never been a more iconic year for travelers to experience the freedom of the open road,” he said.
December results showed mixed performance across RV segments. Towable RV shipments, led by conventional travel trailers, totaled 20,425 units for the month, a 1.9% decline compared to December 2024.
Motorhomes, however, posted strong year-over-year gains, with shipments rising 19.5% to 2,795 units.
For the full year, towable RV shipments reached 306,191 units, representing a 2.5% increase from 2024. Motorhome shipments totaled 36,029 units for the year, up 3.3% compared to the prior year.
Park Model RVs continued to show notable growth. December wholesale shipments of Park Model RVs totaled 333 units, a 22.0% increase from the same month last year. For all of 2025, Park Model RV shipments reached 4,305 units, up 9.6% year over year.
RVIA also reported a revision to November 2025 shipment figures, which were adjusted upward by 99 units due to late-arriving manufacturer survey responses.
