The election for the 2025 RV Industry Association (RVIA) Board of Directors is scheduled to commence on Tuesday, September 3. This election is important as it determines the leadership that will guide the association in setting and overseeing strategies and policies on key industry matters such as standards, marketing, government affairs, education, and finances.
This year, eight candidates are vying for three open positions on the board, two representing RV manufacturers and one representing suppliers. Voting is open to RVIA members, with each member company allowed one vote, cast by their official representative.
According to a News & Insights report of RVIA, the voting period runs from September 3 until midnight on September 23, and results are expected to be announced later in the month. The newly elected members will begin their three-year terms on January 1, 2025.
“Each member company is permitted one vote, cast by the member’s official representative. Official representatives will be contacted via email,” the press release indicated.
Headquartered in Washington, D.C., and Elkhart, IN, the RVIA represents over 500 manufacturers, component suppliers, and aftermarket providers, accounting for 98% of U.S. RV production and approximately 60% of global RV production. Through its efforts, the RVIA aims to unify the industry, promote growth, and drive innovation across the outdoor recreation market.
In addition to announcing the 2025 RVIA Board of Directors nominations, the association celebrated Women’s Equality Day with a gathering at the RV Technical Institute (RVTI) in Indiana, highlighting the progress made toward gender equality.
Organized by the RV Women’s Alliance and sponsored by Camping World, the event commemorated the certification of the 19th Amendment, which granted women the right to vote. The celebration attracted participants from across the RV industry, including members of RVIA, RVTI, and the RV Dealers Association.
