Roadtrippers Launches ‘Extraordinary Places’ Campaign to Spotlight Unique Destinations Across the US

Roadtrippers, a travel platform, has launched a new campaign within its “Extraordinary Places” program, encouraging travelers to recommend distinctive U.S. destinations for the company’s popular trip-planning app. 

Running from November 1 through November 22, the initiative invites users to nominate memorable stops for potential inclusion on Roadtrippers’ interactive map. 

Each year, Roadtrippers updates its map to include unique attractions across the country, creating an ever-expanding library of travel destinations. This year’s campaign builds on past successes, drawing travelers and road trip enthusiasts to suggest locations that capture the essence of adventure and discovery. 

The selection criteria and annual updates aim to reflect a wide range of experiences, from quirky roadside attractions to hidden natural wonders. 

Upon the campaign’s conclusion, Roadtrippers’ team will select a few winning submissions, adding illustrated icons for each to the map, thereby recognizing these locations as standout travel spots. Winning participants will also receive a complimentary one-year membership to Roadtrippers’ premium services, which offer additional trip customization features. 

The new icons are designed to mark these extraordinary places as must-visit destinations, allowing travelers to incorporate them into their itineraries. In addition to the map update, winners may be featured on the brand’s social media channels, further promoting their nominated spots. 

The latest campaign encourages travelers to “choose their own adventure” by actively contributing to a travel resource that millions of users consult each year. This aspect of the campaign, as noted by Steven Hileman, Roadtrippers’ VP of Strategy and Business Development, underlines the company’s mission of making trip planning accessible and engaging. 

“Extraordinary Places is our way of celebrating the voices of road trippers and the incredible destinations they uncover,” Hileman stated, reflecting the brand’s commitment to fostering a community-driven platform. 

According to a press release, submissions for the Extraordinary Places campaign must be completed by Friday, November 22, via roadtrippers.com/2025-extraordinary-places.
