Matt and Nichole Simpkins, previously engaged in desk jobs in Nevada, have opened Lost Moose Meadows Campground and RV Park in Lincoln, Montana. This new venture marks their transition from conventional office work to campground ownership, a significant shift in their professional lives.
Construction of Lost Moose Meadows began in April 2022, with the couple overseeing all aspects of development. The campground, which opened in July 2023, is a product of their direct involvement and commitment to the project.
The campground is situated near the Bob Marshall Wilderness and caters to RV enthusiasts. It features full hook-up sites including pull-through sites up to 90 feet and back-in sites up to 70 feet, along with amenities such as restrooms, showers, and Wi-Fi.
An environmental focus is evident in the campground’s design. Over 100 feet of natural space separates each site, aimed at preserving the area’s natural beauty and wildlife habitat.
The construction process included the installation of over 3 miles of pipes and extensive concrete work. These challenges were met with determination, essential for the campground’s successful establishment.
