MC Fireside Chats: How’s the Season Going So Far? Hear from Outdoor Hospitality Industry Experts

Summer is in full swing, which means campgrounds are busy all over the country. Campfires are a-blazin’, tents are fully pitched, and cabins are occupied. To tell us how the season is going so far for the outdoor hospitality industry, experts will return for another open discussion episode of Modern Campground Fireside Chats.

Key individuals coming from the campground and glamping sectors appear on the show every first Wednesday of the month to swap ideas, share various updates, and give commentary on the latest and upcoming industry happenings.

On August 3, joining the conversation on Fireside Chats are United Park Brokers Founder & CEO Randy Hendrickson, American Glamping Association Co-Founder Ruben Martinez, Campspot Director of Business Development Casey Cochran, and CampgroundViews.com Founder & CEO Mark Koep.

Sandy Ellingson, an RV industry consultant, and Ivar Mensink, co-founder of Germany-based Camping Dreams, will also return for the open discussion episode next week.

Next week’s episode of MC Fireside Chats is sponsored by Fireside Accounting, a turn-key accounting solution offering full bookkeeping services to campgrounds, RV parks, and RV resorts.

The company strives to remove the burden of daily bookkeeping from owners and their staff, which allows them to focus on providing an outstanding experience for their guests. Fireside’s team of experts is eager to provide clients with detailed financial reporting for today, so they can be equipped with the knowledge and information needed to make solid financial decisions for the future.

Previously on MC Fireside Chats, Encore RV Founder and President Rich Schnippel made an appearance where he discussed the popularity of overlanding. The leader of the Elkhart-based RV OEM also shared about the hurdles the company faced amid supply chain issues and staffing shortages.

Recurring guests from the RV and outdoor recreation industries also joined the July 27 episode of MC Fireside Chats to discuss the latest updates from their desks. Present on the show were Shane Devenish, the president of the Canadian Recreational Vehicle Association (CRVA) and executive director of the Canadian Camping and RV Council (CCRVC); Eleonore Hamm, the president of the RV Dealers Association (RVDA) of Canada, Susan Carpenter, the president of the RV Women’s Alliance; and Kurt Repanshek, the founder and editor-in-chief of National Parks Traveler.

The outdoor hospitality industry has seen great success in recent years, with more Americans going out to camp; but with that success comes new challenges. That’s why it’s important for industry experts to come together to spread awareness of these challenges while also celebrating victories.

A panel of experts from across the camping, glamping, and RV industries gather every Wednesday to discuss the future of the sectors. This free virtual show is open to all business owners or anyone interested in the outdoor hospitality industry. Each episode aims to be an informative discussion, and attendees can expect to hear about the latest trends, what’s on the horizon for the industry, and how they can best capitalize on current opportunities.
