Love’s Opens New Florida Travel Stop, Renovates Stores in Oklahoma, Illinois

Love’s Travel Stops has expanded its network with the opening of a new travel stop in Gretna, Florida, while also completing major renovations at locations in Oklahoma and Illinois as part of its ongoing store modernization efforts.

The new Gretna travel stop, located at 265 Opportunity Way near Interstate 10 Exit 174, marks Love’s 23rd location in Florida.

The facility adds 121 truck parking spaces, contributing to the company’s efforts to increase truck parking capacity amid an ongoing nationwide shortage. Love’s said it has added 991 truck parking spaces across the United States so far in 2026.

Situated between the company’s existing locations in Cottondale and Lee, the Gretna site is designed to serve professional drivers, RV travelers and motorists traveling through the Florida Panhandle.

The location also expands fueling and parking capacity along Interstate 10, a major freight corridor.

The Gretna travel stop includes 11,789 square feet of space and is expected to add 75 jobs. Amenities include eight diesel bays, six showers, laundry facilities, a CAT Scale, 66 car parking spaces, three RV parking spaces, an RV dump station, a dog park and self-checkout options.

The location also offers Love’s fresh food services. An Arby’s and a Dunkin’ are scheduled to open at the site, while four RV hookups are expected to open in July.

Love’s said the new location includes space designated for future electric vehicle charging infrastructure. The company noted that the site can accommodate charging stations through partnerships with local utility providers if customer demand develops.

To mark the opening, Love’s announced donations of $2,500 each to Gretna Elementary School and West Gadsden Middle School. The company also pledged $5,000 to Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital.

In addition to the Florida expansion, Love’s recently completed renovation projects at its country store in Elk City, Oklahoma, and its travel stop in Roscoe, Illinois.

The company said it has completed updates at 18 locations and opened 10 new stores during 2026.

Love’s also announced charitable donations tied to the renovation projects. The company will contribute $5,000 to the Oklahoma Health Foundation and $5,000 to Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago in recognition of the grand reopenings.

Love’s Travel Stops, headquartered in Oklahoma City, operates 678 locations across 42 states. The family-owned company employs nearly 40,000 team members throughout North America and Europe.
