Lightspeed Assigns Veteran in Global SaaS Marketing as New Chief Marketing Officer

Lightspeed Commerce Inc., a customer experience commerce platform for merchants, announced on Tuesday last week that the Company was appointing Kady Srinivasan as Chief Marketing Officer. 

She will report directly to JP Chauvet, CEO of Lightspeed, according to a press release.

“We’re thrilled to bring Kady onto the Lightspeed team as our new CMO with her vast experience scaling up SaaS companies, expanding businesses, and launching innovative cloud-based software solutions,” said Chauvet.

“Her unique skill set will be pivotal for Lightspeed as we zero in on our target market of complex SMBs, raise brand awareness, and continue to roll out our flagship retail and hospitality products globally.”

Srinivasan is a long-time executive with over 15 years of experience in leading, developing, implementing, and scaling marketing initiatives in gaming, retail consumer products, and technology firms.

In this new position, Srinivasan will lead Lightspeed’s overall marketing strategy, and strengthen the company’s position in the marketplace to drive forward-looking growth, innovation and return on investment for customers and shareholders worldwide.

Srinivasan is joining Lightspeed from Klaviyo, the SaaS market automation software service, where she was SVP and the Global Head of Marketing.

Before that, Srinivasan was the Chief Marketing Officer for Owlet Baby Care, leading global sales and marketing initiatives that helped build brand trust, expanded the TAM and created demand. He also made the company more visible as a pioneer in technology for infants’ health.

Before joining Owlet Baby Care, Kady was Dropbox’s Global Director of Marketing and GTM Integrated GTM. She was responsible for marketing for SMBs and consumers, resulting in substantial growth in two categories of customers.

Kady was instrumental in the launch of Dropbox Business. Kady was instrumental in launching the Dropbox Business product and was a significant player in the company’s IPO journey. Srinivasan was also the Senior Director for Growth and Integrated Marketing for Electronic Arts’ mobile division.

She is a current Venture Advisor for Relay Ventures and an instructor to Girls Who Code. Kady has an MBA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a B.E. from the RV College of Engineering.
