The 2024 RV Dealers Convention/Expo, scheduled for November 11 to November 15 at Paris Las Vegas, will feature a key workshop led by industry veteran John Spader.
Spader, president of Spader Business Management, will guide dealers through strategies for success in a low-margin environment. His session, titled “Success in Lower Margin Atmosphere,” will take place on November 12 at 10:45 a.m.
Spader’s workshop will cover tactics necessary for dealerships. Participants will engage in a self-assessment to gauge their readiness for future challenges and learn six essential tactics to thrive in a low-margin market.
According to a press release, the RV Dealers Convention/Expo is organized by RVDA of the U.S., RVDA of Canada, and the Mike Molino RV Learning Center.
The RVDA Convention/Expo is an event for dealer education and networking, bringing together dealers, manufacturers, suppliers, and other RV industry partners. This annual gathering offers an opportunity to make connections and gain insights from industry leaders.
The event features a week of in-person networking and continuing education workshops. These sessions provide expert strategies for dealers and professionals in sales, fixed operations, F&I, and digital marketing. Attendees benefit from content and discussions that focus on education rather than product pitches.
In addition to the networking opportunities, vendor training + plus sessions, led by exhibitors, are designed to help dealership management stay current with the latest products and services. These sessions offer ideas and solutions from real organizations within the RV industry.
Management Consultant Theresa Syer of Syer Hospitality Group will also lead two workshops at the RV Dealers Convention/Expo aimed at helping dealers achieve service excellence. On November 12 at 9:30 a.m., Syer will present “Cruise Control: Steering Your RV Service Recovery” as part of the Dealer/GM education track.
This session will introduce a powerful 5-step service recovery process designed to empower dealerships to address customer concerns effectively. Attendees will learn to identify customer expectations during service disruptions, navigate and defuse upset customers, and implement a robust service recovery process to restore customer satisfaction after service issues.
The following day, November 13 at 2:00 p.m., Syer will host “Elevating Experiential Leadership: Exploring Emotional Intelligence Essentials.” This workshop will delve into the fundamentals of emotional intelligence (EI) and its relevance in dealership leadership.
