The Carolinas Association of RV Parks and Campgrounds (CARVC) announced its 21st annual CARVC Conference & Expo, scheduled for February 9-11, 2025, in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. The event aims to bring together campground operators and industry vendors under the theme “Team Spirit: Uniting for Success.”
The conference, to be held at the Embassy Suites by Hilton Myrtle Beach Oceanfront Resort, will offer educational sessions, networking opportunities, and industry exhibits. Registration details and lodging links are available at campingcarolinas.com, with early bird rates starting at $299 per person for the first registrant.
According to a press release, Dee Witting, CARVC executive director, stated, “In the hospitality industry we’re always advocating that we’re stronger as a team than we are individually. That’s so true, now more than ever after this year as parks around the country, including in the Carolinas, suffered devastating setbacks from extreme weather.”
Witting emphasized the conference’s focus on rebuilding team spirit through training, information sessions, and networking events such as the trade show and the Game Day Gala.
Sunday’s program will feature marketing-focused sessions designed to help campground operators remain competitive, followed by an Advocacy Panel presented by OHI and CARVC. Moderated by David Basler, chief strategy officer for OHI, the panel will include firsthand accounts from operators benefiting from industry advocacy.
Keynote speaker Kelly Jones, vice president of operations for Great Escape RV Resorts, will deliver a two-part workshop on team-building dynamics. The sessions will include hands-on exercises aimed at fostering teamwork, communication, and trust among participants.
Additional sessions will address data-driven decision-making, guest relationship innovations, and solutions for water and wastewater management. These educational offerings are intended to provide attendees with actionable strategies to improve campground operations.
For attendees seeking specialized training, two stand-alone sessions are available for an additional fee. The RV Technical Institute (RVTI) will conduct a day-long RV technical basics course on February 8 at Ocean Lakes Family Campground. On February 9, a CPR certification course limited to 15 participants will be taught by Disaster Medical Specialist Darin Almond.
The trade show will also accommodate up to 50 vendors showcasing products and services for campground operators.
“As the premier gathering for campground owners and operators, the 2025 CARVC Conference & Expo presents a unique opportunity for exhibitors and campgrounds to connect with a highly engaged audience in an oceanfront setting,” Witting noted.
